Review: 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod

Gifts-with-purchase are a conundrum. While we all want promotional sets to be appealing, their limited availability can be disappointing. 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod serves as a prime example because the ship looks superb, but will only be available with the U.S.S Enterprise.

In addition, an exclusive Ensign Ro minifigure is included to join the other characters found in 10356 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D. Honestly, this seems like a great set all round, which makes its status as a gift-with-purchase all the more frustrating!

Bristol Brick Show next weekend

The last major LEGO event in the UK this year takes place next weekend, 15-16 November, in Bristol. Tickets are selling fast but are still available to buy online, so grab them while you can.

There'll be three floors of exhibits, traders and activities in the pavilion at the Gloucestershire county cricket ground, including a GBC of which I will be part.

Review: 10356 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D

Like the Borg, The LEGO Group has assimilated new licensed properties with remarkable speed lately. LEGO Star Trek was once considered near-impossible given the continuation of LEGO Star Wars, though the magnificent 10356 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D proves otherwise.

I am surprised Star Trek: The Next Generation was chosen as a starting point over the classic Enterprise, although the Galaxy-class spacecraft is undoubtedly iconic and crewed by equally popular characters, nine of whom are included! The minifigure selection and the vehicle itself both appear excellent to me.

The much anticipated 10356 Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D was revealed earlier today and the gift-with-purchase designed to accompany it, 40768 Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod, has now been fully unveiled!

The model, based on the Onizuka shuttlepod from Star Trek: The Next Generation, will be available with any purchase of the Enterprise from November 28th to December 1st. This set also contains an exclusive minifigure of Ensign Ro Laren.

LEGO Botanicals 11501 Tulip Bouquet official images!

The popular Botanicals series continues in 2026 and 11501 Tulip Bouquet is the first set from the range to be revealed, comprising 576 pieces.

Tulip Bouquet will be launched on January 1st, costing £54.99, $59.99 or €59.99. You might notice a couple of new elements included, such as a small leaf equivalent to the three-leafed piece introduced this year.

2026 LEGO Chinese Traditional Festival sets announced!

Two new Chinese Traditional Festival sets have been revealed at the annual China International Import Expo in Shanghai.

2026 will be the Year of the Horse, as the 1650-piece 80119 Galloping Horse Canvas illustrates. Notably, the set includes the traditional animal-costumed minifigure and incorporates a clever function, it appears. 80118 Fortune Firecracker is also coming soon and both sets will be released on January 1st.

LEGO NINJAGO 71858 Four Weapons Blacksmith revealed!

2026 will be the 15th anniversary of NINJAGO and several anniversary sets will be launched to celebrate the occasion, beginning with 71858 Four Weapons Blacksmith!

The blacksmith seems like a perfect choice to mark the anniversary, as the location of the very first scene in NINJAGO's pilot episode. 2508 Blacksmith Shop portrayed the same setting back in 2011, but this 1259-piece model prioritises accuracy and detail, so looks much better than its predecessor.

The set will be released on January 1st, costing £89.99, $99.99 or €99.99. In addition to the long-awaited Blacksmith Kai minifigure, as well as Nya, Maya, Ray and Master Wu, the set also comes with a unique Master of Earth anniversary minifigure. This is one of the seven figures teased at Fan Media Days.
